Frequently Asked Questions

Information for students, parents, teachers, and volunteers.

Are there rain dates scheduled for this event?

Unfortunately, in the case of inclement weather, we do not have make-up dates. If we are forced to cancel the day, we cannot make-up the day.

The WOW program ooperates on a very tight schedule. In order for the students to experience the whole program, we have to adhere to a strict time schedule. While we don't like to leave anyone behind, your group will not be allowed to participate in the program if you arrive late.

Is lunch provided?

Yes! Lunch and bottled water will be provided to all participants. The menu will be posted on the agenda page before your day on the water. If you have special diatary needs, you will need to pack your own lunch.

Do I need to turn in a liability waiver?

Yes, ALL participants must have a completed Liability Waiver and Photo Release Form turned in to participate. Teachers should provide the forms to all students.

How do I register to volunteer?

Yes. There will be no cost to you for the background check, which will be processed by the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Department. This form will need to be completed, submitted, and passed before you will be allowed to volunteer. The background check form is found here.

Your completed form will need to be mailed or delivered in-person to 20 N Third Street, Lafayette, IN 47901 or scanned and emailed to Thank you for your willingness to volunteer. We look forward to seeing you on the water!

This is required for ALL participants. No open toe sandals or Crocs are allowed. We recommend old tennis shoes or water shoes. Life jackets will be provided.
